Design

The first thing ever noticed on a ceramic tile is the design. Before choosing any one specific design, be sure to check the variety of designs offered to you for viewing online and in craft books. You can create anything from nautical stars to a variety of linear lines that creates a beautiful masterpiece. These lines can be made by anything from pasta to popsicles.

Color

Once your design has been chosen and imprinted or drawn onto the tile, it is time for you to choose your colors. If you are placing the tile within your home for decorative purposes, you may want to choose bright, vibrant colors to help catch the attention of your guests. For floor placement, you may want to chose a neutral color or match it to the main color within the room you will be placing it.

Placement

Tile's do not always have to be placed on a wall in the kitchen or on the patio outside. Some other great places to install your ceramic tile are in the garden, in your children's bedroom as a hanging wall decor piece or as a small decorative piece placed within your outdoor stone walkway. Before you decide on where you are going to place your tile you must consider the amount of tiles you are making and where your tile colors which match the best in your home.
